I read a really inspiring message I wanted to share with you today. I know sometimes I get caught up in the when, where, hows and whys of this dream of music in my heart. When will I be able to provide for my family with this dream....how is it gonna happen...why hasn't it happened yet....if God put this burning desire in my heart to move me from my birthplace away from family and friends to pursue music....why is it harder than I expected.....all questions that'll drive ya nuts....right?
Well, I know God put a dream in your heart as well, and like me, you might be going through some of these same struggles from time to time.....up, down....up, down.....kinda feels like a roller coaster sometimes doesn't it ? ;-)
This message helped remind me today that we're here for the journey and if we focus too much on the destination....we might miss all this good stuff that's happening now.....how can we make the ordinary days extraordinary? Full of purpose and passion that no matter what happens on this road....we feel fullfilled?

Pursuing the Dream
If you want to live a joyful and fulfilling life, learn to celebrate each moment of each day. All it really takes is a decision on your part to relish the events, people, and tasks that make up everyday life. Of course, you should have goals. God has put dreams and desires in each person's heart. And there will always be another dream, another challenge just over the horizon. Slow down and enjoy each stage of what He is doing in your life. You don't have to make everything happen today. Pursue the goals that God has planted in you, but don't forget to enjoy each stage of the journey!
A Prayer for Today
God, I know that You have planted dreams and goals in me. Help me to pursue them with the awareness that they will happen in Your time, and give me the ability to enjoy where You have me today. In Jesus' name. Amen.
